ARTIC-Magazine
In exceptional design ARTIC is released since 1993. In Volume 11 (2004) Stäbler published a text, that refers to his vocal works. Especially for the issue Stäbler composed AMTRACKS, an "audio-assemblage" for seven vocalists. ARTIC 11 contains a CD with vocal works by Stäbler, e.g. Winter.BlumenRachengoldRosenkranz, drüber... and the Belfast Breakfast Songs.

col legno is a small label for contemporary music. It has published CD's with works by Stäbler, e.g. the portrait im unaufhörlichen Wirbel, released in 1998.

Forum Zeitgenössische Musik organizes festivals and concerts in the region Leipzig. Interzone Perceptible
The experimental duo Interzone Perceptible, Matthias Hettmer (e-bass / electronics) and Sven Hermann (accordion / electronics) is concentrating on live-electronic works. Uncommon projects are presented, Gerhard Stäbler´s work Kopffüssler for two players on an electrified accordion (2002) was part of a concert in Karlsruhe, where Interzone Perceptible presented works of 5 seconds written by six composers.
 
Kairos Quartett
The Berlin-based Kairos-Quartet is formed by an up and coming string quartet that has mastered a vast repertoire since its inception. Experimental concepts and the judicious care of previously "established" works are the focal point of their work. The quartet´s management (Claudius von Wrochem, Simone Heilgendorff) can be contacted via their well-maintained web site, which provides information regarding their repertoire and news about current performances. In May 2004 Kairos-Quartet performed the premiere of Stäbler's work white spaces for string quartet and soprano (Ksenija Lukics) in a concert organized by the MDR in Leipzig.

It represents the most comprehensive collection of biographies of contemporary composers. Gerhard Stäbler´s article with extensive analysis of several works was written by the musicologists Björn Gottstein, Hanns-Werner Heister and Hella Melkert.

Mainfranken Theater Würzburg
The Mainfranken Theater Würzburg is the place where Stäbler's Letzte Dinge, a concert action for three voices, percussion and tape (2007), based on a libretto by Hermann Schneider and Alexander Jansen, inspired by Paul Auster´s novel "In the country of last things", was performed for the first time. The theatre has a rich tradition of over 200 years and stands out because of its well-considered programming.
 
Metier Records
2003 David Lefeber, the artistic director of Metier, released the piano-oeuvre of Stäbler. The pianist Paulo Alvares from Cologne interpreted the pieces DalíTotalHart auf HartWindows 1-5, Von Branntwein und Finsternissen. Apart from Stäbler´s piano oeuvre Lefeber also releases classical chamber-music.
 
Musica Viva
The 2004 world premiere of day by day - Gerhard Stäbler´s composition (2003/04) for two percussionists, three female vocalists and orchestra - was presented in the Munich concert series Musica Viva. The series is directed by composer Josef Anton Riedl.

The website of Kunsu Shim, a composer born in Pusan, South Corea, offers a complete list of works, a biography in English and, a special service, numerous scores with a download-option. Stäbler created several co-compositions with Shim and is living with him in Duisburg and Crete.

We are we - dance theater
The "we are we" dance theater is directed by dancer Eva Weissmann. In a previous collaboration with her Gerhard Stäbler performed his piece elements (acute) together with a dance choreography. More recently Ms. Weissmann presented in Basle, at the beginning of 2004, a new dance choreography to this piece under the title von hier aus - Basel Raum Klang Tanz (from here on - Basle Space Sound Dance).
 
Weidler Verlag
The musicologist Hella Melkert published her book about Gerhard Stäbler's interdisciplinarity at the beginning of 2003. Melkert´s interpretations are based on solid analyses of numerous works of Stäbler, e.g. the percussion works FallZeit and Kybele or the ensemble works Die Nacht sitzt am Tisch and Spices (1). The book can be ordered at Weidler-Verlag to a prize of 19.80 Euro.
 
Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie, Karlsruhe
